Dated 2003 Medium/Technique Mixed media Impression Colors and designs on different layers of long fibered translucent Japanese papers. Colors excellent Condition excellent - very good Edition Size 40 Numbered 39 / 40 Description "Blossoms" Sarah Brayer makes papers as well as prints. This special method is called "Collagraph". On top of thicker Burmese hand made paper, layers of long fibered hand made Japanese paper were applied. The kimonos are formed by other washi paper and inserted between the layers. The obi were hand painted. Sarah Brayer stated, "Look beneath the surface of the hand made washi, and delicate patterns in paper emerge from the kimonos. Catch the whispers of two young women in Kyoto's Kitano Shrine.". Note (This work will be shipped with a large stiff black presentation board).
