Vigerous Sword practice from the series Chushingura by Yoshio Kawamo. Original Japanese woodblock print circa 1921. Fine color, condition and impression. This print has never been framed and retains original colors. Still attached to original presentation folder. Print measures 9.7 x 13.2 inches. Nice baren rubbings on verso. Unusual dotted woodblock pattern used to enhance shading throughout (see enlargement). Gold inks also add to the details.
