Hand Painted Fan: Carp and Lotus

Artist: Watanabe Seitei
Format: Folding paper fan with wooden ribbing: Open 10" x 16.5"

Subject: A wonderfully imaginative fan painting in sumi and colours, of a partially seen Carp swimming among Lotus pads. Signed and sealed Seitei.

Date: Painted c.1900

Condition: Used as a folding fan. Light wear. Some tiny spotting marks. Some light waterstains. Generally good state.

Colour: Good
