The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Note that there may be some inaccuracies:

This auction is for a signed and numbered piece of art, believed to be Japanese in origin. Although I can not be certain of the name, I believe it is signed Kabe. It is clearly numbered 26 of 50 and dated 1970. There are also some symbols which I believe is the title in Japanese. This piece came from the same estate as the Jacques Hnizdovsky piece we currently have listed. It belonged to an elderly lady that recently passed away. She travelled the world in the 60s and 70s and I believe this piece was purchased during her travels. The color has some depth and appears to have been applied or transfered to the paper via a transport other than a brush. This is why I am guessing it may be some type of woodblock. I wish I could offer more information but the above is the only honest information I can offer. The paper backing has been removed (I took it off to see if there was any more information under it).
