Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Wednesday, 21 March 2007 Japanese Woodblock Print, Owl on Branch of Blossoming Tree, Artist and Publisher Unknown, Post WWII. A Japanese woodblock print of a traditional-style bird and flower subject, probably inspired by an earlier image. Image is 101/2 x 9 3/8 inches. With margins, 11 3/8 x 10 3/8 inches. There is a group of black figures and a red seal on the lower right of the image. This may well be a knock-off print. Condition: Very good. The printing is well executed with good line and well applied color. Some fading and discoloration in places. Held up to the light, there are a few worn places visible on the lower right quadrant, and one small tear there. Good bleed-through. The actual colors of this print are less vivid than the detail scan but more pronounced than the full scan indicates. Although the identity of the artist and publisher couldn’t be found, it is an expressive kacho-e image.
