ITEM: Lot of two old Japanese paintings on thick paper

ARTIST: both signed & dated by M.Hanamoto

SUBJECT: Mt. Fuji snow scene & Kiyomizu Temple snow scene

DATE: 1955

SIZE: each measures 9.5" x 10.5"

CONDITION: Both are in excellent condition

NOTE: Nicely painted with profuse use of gofun (ground oyster shell to simulate snow)
Artist Bio: 
Born in Osaka in 1924. A painter of landscapes. Student of the artist Akamatsu Rasaku (赤松 麟作). Studied at Osaka Art University.
