The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Note that there may be some inaccuracies:

Friday, 23 September 2005

This watercolour is signed “Yokouchi”. Sometimes he is identified as Tasuke (G.T.) Yokouchi, in other cases he is identified as Yokouchi Kiyoharu (1870-1942), who also made a few landscape woodblock prints. At any rate this watercolour can be dated to the first quarter of the 20th century.

Size: 23 x 32 cm (9” x 12.6”)

Condition: remounted on a piece of stiff cream-coloured paper – when holding this watercolour against the light, no major defects can be seen, so the reason of the remounting is not instantly obvious.

The various pictures give a realistic idea of the condition of this watercolour.
