The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Note that there may be some inaccuracies:
An original Japanese (or possibly chinese) watercolor, signed with what I first thought was the signature Tanauchi, till I was advised by a kind ebayer that the signature is actually the signature of Terauchi, a listed turn of the century artist, whose signature is often mistaken for Tanauchi.(I still think it looks more like Tanauchi than Terauchi) Signed at the lower right.. This is a very nice watercolor and most likely was done by a professional artist.( THIS IS NOT A WOODBLOCK PRINT, IT IS A WATERCOLOR.) The frame size is 20 1/2" by 17" and the sight size (opening in mat) of the watercolor is 14" by 10".- I believe the watercolor was done sometime around the 1930s or before. - I. --- The wood frame has a natural wood finish with minor to moderate wear around the edges and is still sealed in the rear. The watercolor appears in mint condition.
