Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Tuesday, 9 January 2007 MIKI SUIZAN JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT KAMO RIVER 1924 Up for auction is this wonderful Japanese woodblock print by Miki Suizan entitled "Shower on the Kamo River". Artist signature and carver's seal (Maeda Yujiro), upper left, publisher's seal (Sato Shotaro), verso. Published circa 1924. Oban format. Image measures 15.25 x 10.5 inches printed upon heavy Washi measuring 15.75 x 10.75 inches. References to this print and the artist are available at various Internet sites. CONDITION: A strong, clear impression. Light to moderate waterstain along top of print running 9 inches vertical and up to 2.5 inches horizontal into subject. Possibly trimmed along bottom and left side. 4 small pieces of plastic tape apparently secondary to original mount and discoloration from right side mount verso. No other defects.
