Triptych: Fireworks over the Ryogoku Bridge

Artist: Kunichika
Format: Oban triptych: 15" x 10" approx

Subject: Festival revellers on the Sumida river at night, with a firework exploding above them showering down childrens' toys.

Date: 1885

Condition: Full size with large margins at top and on left. Minor creases, marks and flaws. Generally fine state.

Colour: Fine

Impression: Very fine early 1st edition impression with gauffrage, mica highlights and strong woodgrain visible in the backgound.
