"Neru no Kanshoku " ("The touch of flannel ") by Yumeji Takehisa(1884 - 1934). This print is modern lithograph print ( Please note ! This is not woodblock print) .

Pristine condition, Hand numbered, limited edition number 55/300S . Red seal "Geijutsu no Taiga" and embossed seal " Geijutsu no Taiga" on bottom margin.Width is 14 and 1/2 inches and height is 17 and 1/2 inches. Extremely tiny ink deep into left margin which is typical these prints. Top and bottom of back side was taped. Please see in pictures. Genuine beautiful Japanese lithograph print .

Yumeji Takehisa(1884~1934) is very famous and popular in Japan as Bijin-ga artist of the Taisho period (1912-1926). His preferred subjects of the artist were beautiful women . The woman whom he draws is unique. He was born 1884 in Okayama, Japan.

Artist Bio: 

竹久夢二 たけひさ・ゆめじ明治17年~昭和9年(1884-1934) 明治から昭和にかけての画家、詩人、デザイナー。岡山県生まれ。本名は茂次郎。荒畑寒村の推薦で平民社機関紙『直言』に挿絵を描いたのをはじめ、『中学世界』や『平民新聞』などに挿絵や詩をかく。さみせんぐさの名で「宵待草」の原詩を発表した。藤島武二のモダンな装飾性と鏑木清方の美人画から影響を受けた夢二の美人画は、挿絵ばかりではなく絵葉書、封筒、半えりのデザインにもされた。『夢二画集』や詩集『どんたく』などの詩、画集,詩画集などが50種ほど出版された。女性遍歴の愛欲生活のなかで憂愁な女性像を描く一方で、社会底辺の女性や女性問題などもリベラルにみていた。関東大震災時には、「震災スケッチ」を残してもいる。岡山市と群馬県伊香保の地に各々夢二の美術館がある。
