You are bidding on a Japanese woodblock print “Mt Fuji” signed by the Famous Taisho Shin Hanga woodblock print master Yokoyama Taikan (1868-1958).
His information can be found through any search engine on the internet and at sites such as http://www.lingnanart.com/J-master/J-master-Taikan.htm.
The print size is 18 3/4 x 15 1/4 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower left corner of the print. Colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. This print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. Four borders are intact. When the print was made, the printer did not trim the top and right borders so that they are bigger than the bottom and left borders, which definitely does not affect the print and images at all. This woodblock print is in excellent condition.
