Description "Yuki no Sato" English title is "A Village in Hida". The village is an open air museum which contains about 30 traditional Japanese houses in Hida region of Gifu prefecture. They exhibit several well-preserved "gassho-zukuri" farm houses. The name came from their steep, thatched roofs which look like praying hands ("gassho-zukuri").
