Description "Ameagari" (After the Rain). Japanese umbrellas are drying off outside after the rain. This is a popular subject used by print makers in the Kyoto area, for instance Clifton Karhu or Katsuyuki Nishijima. Joshua Rome's design is different. In his image the two umbrellas fill the whole space of the image area. The color selection for the umbrellas and the background and the depiction of light and shadow make a perfect image that one will hardly ever become tired of looking at.
