Artist Bio:
The barren slopes, docile goats, lonely little trees, those North Country landscapes full of field sentiments that appeared often in Li's artworks are language symbols and spiritual carriers of his woodcuts. During the period that art didn't flourish much, there was maybe nothing greenness or vogue, but Li Yanpeng cuts with all his heart, his passion, giving these landscapes a new life and special meaning. His creations have won the favours of many collectors and exploited a new field of the waste-block (reduction woodblock) print.
