Triple Head Portrait

Artist: Eisui
Format: Oban tate-e: 14.5" x 9.25" approx

Subject: Two courtesans teasing a young admirer with a love letter. One of Eisui's exquisite triple head designs. Not illustrated in Brandt. Very rare.

Date: c.1790

Condition: Full size. Some pin sized holes at base. Some thinned spots. Minor marks and flaws. Generally moderately good state of preservation.

Colour: Good colors with some fading.

Impression: Fine with extensive gauffrage.
