Hello,
I have available a Shuzo Ikeda print #403 of a young girl. It is signed and numbered 26/30 and measures 9 1/2 x 13''. It was framed and matted and has a small amount of staining on that back that does not show through to the front. It appears to have been mounted to sturdier paper and I'm not sure if this is how it was intended by the artist or not.

PS. The painted area measures 8 1/4 x 11 3/4''. There were two small pieces or tape securing it to the matting on the back. Otherwise, there appears to be none of the other flaws you noted on your website. |

Shuzo Ikeda was born in 1922 in Akita prefecture. In 1945 he graduated from Tokyo Higher Normal School. After a few years of teaching the artist became a member of Nihon Hanga Kyokai and other Japanese artist associations and turned to woodblock printmaking ('moku hanga') as a full-time artist. Shuzo is known for incorporating the the grain of his blocks into his woodblock print images.

1955 教職を経て上京し、木版画に専念
1957 日本版画協会展出品・受賞
1959 現代版画コンクール展・受賞
