Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Wednesday, 12 October 2005 JAPANESE WOOD BLOCK PRINT - signed TANAUCHI with SHINAGAWA label. Beautiful subtle blending of colors in this wood block print. The scene shows a Japanese sail boat, with 2 figures aboard. I was told this piece and many others I purchased were obtained by the original owner ( the seller's father) in Japan in the 1960's, however I don't really know the age of the wood block prints. The print is signed in the lower left corner. The back sticker has a lot of Japanese writing in addition to a little English that says "Shinagawa's Wood Block Prints .. KYOTO HANGA - IN CO., LTD… Tokyo" Also lists the Tokyo office, gallery and branch information. Size of the actual print is 9" by 14". The frame is 15-1/4" by 18-3/4". The wood block print is simply framed in a black painted wood frame, under glass. Condition is excellent.
