Kuchi-e: Opening the Teahouse

Subject: A Meiji teahouse waitress drawing the first water of morning. Unidentified collector's seal at top edge. Subject illustrated, Woodblock Kuchi-e Prints, Merritt & Yamada, #6.25.

Date: c.1900's

Condition: Trimmed at top edge. Laid down on mica edged album sheet. Two horizontal fold marks. Minor marks and flaws. Generally good state. An unidentified collector's seal at top edge.

Colour: Fine

Impression: Fine early impression with use of silver pigment
