Primitive Print: The Bijin Smoker

Format: Two Colour Hosoban tate-e: 12.25" x 5.5" approx.

Subject: An unidentified Kabuki actor in the role of an elegant bijin who gestures towards a group of Butterflies flitting round a potted Tree Peony.

Date: early 1750's

Condition: Full size. Large damages with extensive professional restorations. Paper toned. Soiled, worn and stained. Poor state.

Colour: Good

Impression: Good
