This is a wonderful and rare Japanese woodblock print by the highly regarded Japanese artist Ichiro Fukushima 1920-1975. It is on heavy weight paper. It is a bold and great modernist image measuring approximately 17-3/4" x 24-1/2". It is signed in pencil lower right and numbered 27/50. There is also Japanese writing in pencil lower center. This could be the title. There are no holes or tears in the print. However there is some staining upper right which does go into the image. It is hardly visible in the image. The other staining appears to be a mat burn which goes around part of the border that is closest to the print. |
