Image Size Each sheet 9 1/2 x 13 1/2 (27 3/4 x 13 1/2 overall, plus margins)
Impression Very Fine. Skillfully executed "bokashi" shading to clouds, sky, moon, hills and bridge; strong woodgrain visible; silver metallic pigments and over-printing with opaque "gofun"; highly detailed carving.

Condition Good to Very Good. Strong colors. Full original margins, unbacked. (Album binding holes across bottom; faint pinkish stain; light wear and staining.)

Comments Dramatic scene of Ushiwaka (known later as Yoshitsune) and Benkei about to meet in battle on on Kyoto's Goji Bridge. A well-known scene of Japan's beloved heros of numerous kabuki plays.
