可憐な少女が草笛を吹いている“版画”です。草笛を吹かれた事はあるでしょうか。小さい時に遊びましたが、中々音が出なかった記憶があります。絵の下に“五月 １９８３ ＳＵ ＩＫＥＤＡ”と読めるサインがあります。勝手な判断ですが、多分この版画の作者は“池田 周三先生”かと思われます。作者の氏名を転記する際に間違われたのではないでしょうか？不明につき御存じの方がおられましたらご教示下さい。前面透明アクリル、額装は木製で裏面は水張りテープで封印されています。額装サイズ：３７，３×４３、３センチ 厚み：２，２センチ版画のサイズ：２０×２５，４センチ

Shuzo Ikeda was born in 1922 in Akita prefecture. In 1945 he graduated from Tokyo Higher Normal School. After a few years of teaching the artist became a member of Nihon Hanga Kyokai and other Japanese artist associations and turned to woodblock printmaking ('moku hanga') as a full-time artist. Shuzo is known for incorporating the the grain of his blocks into his woodblock print images.

1955 教職を経て上京し、木版画に専念
1957 日本版画協会展出品・受賞
1959 現代版画コンクール展・受賞
1968 ビストイア版画ビエンナーレ展
1977 日本版画協会、退会 独自の活動を始める
1983年 池田修三木版展を酒田で開く。〔主な海外の版画展〕
