32 Aspects of Women: #6 Looking 'Smoky'

Artist: Yoshitoshi
Format: Oban tate-e: 14" x 9.5" approx

Subject: #6 A housewife of the Kyowa era (1801-1804) fanning a fire, her eyes squinting against the smoke. From the series, Thirty-two Aspects of Customs and Manners of Women, which we shall be auctioning in its entirety over the next few weeks.

Publisher: Tsunashima Kamekichi

Date: 1888

Condition: Very slightly trimmed. Laid down on album backing, as issued. Some minor offsetting on left and at base. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally very good state.

Colour: Fine

Impression: Fine 1st edition with 3-color title cartouche
