Seal artist's seal (tamenobu) Dated 1890. Description "Tokaido Meisho Hiza Kurige" (Famous Places of Tokaido; Shanks Mare) Station Hara. This series depicts the scenes from the popular novel, "Tokaido-chu Hiza Kurige" (Shanks Mare) by Jippensha Ikku. The mis-adventures by the funny travellers, Mr.Yaji and Mr. Kita who single-handedly demolished all the inns along the Tokaido but not even arrested.
