Description "Sagi Musume no Sei" (Spirit of the Heron Maiden), dance performance where the spirit of a heron changing into a girl and then become a heron again. The dance intertwines the moods of Heron with many costume changes.

Kokyo is reported to have made the drawing for this print in 1902, after seeing the famous geisha Mitsumoto Osada of Kyoto's Gion district perform her interpretation of the popular kabuki dance. |
