Description "Sagi Musume no Sei" (Spirit of the Heron Maiden), dance performance where the spirit of a heron changing into a girl and then become a heron again. The dance intertwines the moods of Heron with many costume changes.

Guaranteed original Japanese woodblock print

SUBJECT: Heron girl
DATE: early 1900's
SEALS: Upper: Kokyo, Lower: Sho
PUBLISHER: Satoshotaro
SIZE: measures 10.5" x 16.25"
CONDITION: Excellent color & impression. Some tape residue on top margin verso. A few minor scuffs/marks to white garment. Small piece of tape at bottom margin verso. Some faint writing in bottom verso margin which reads "Spirit of the heron maiden". Also some faint pencil writing on verso. Though condition is not quite perfect the print still displays beautifully and is in overall very good shape.
NOTE: Rare and highly regarded design.
