Sunrise

Woodblock Print of a romantic landscape with a wide view over the gently receding plane; vertical patterns of black, bare trees form an arresting pattern against the soft grey swirling woodgrain of the bock; white long legged birds enliven the foreground by means of their spare angular forms, overlapped by the geometric patter of the trees.

On soft Japanese paper.
Signature: in pencil: Tamami SHima.
Date: 1958.10.
Condition: In good condition; some cresaing to margins and faint matburn.
