Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Large, Original, Japanese Woodblock Print by Koshiro Onchi (1891 – 1955) This is an original (and quite awesome), woodblock print by Onchi Koshiro. The print is entitled “Hyoto” no chosha, Hagiwara Sakutaro zo (Portrait of Hagiwara Sakutaro, author of Ice Island). This is a memorial edition printed by Hirai Koichi, which is stamped on the verso with the title in pencil: (Portrait of a Poet), and the date in pencil: 12/1960. The print size is approximately 17 ½ x 21 ½ . The print is in very good condition with no major flaws. Reference: The Helen and Felix Juda Collection…: Christies 4/22/98; Modern Japanese Prints, The Early Years, 1990 by Helen Merritt. A 1943 impression of this same print, albeit printed by Onchi himself, sell in excess of $50,000.
