ORIGINAL WOODBLOCK PRINT BY KAORU KAWANO (1916-1962) TITLE: UNKNOWN. SUBJECT: GIRL FLANKED BY CACTUS. ARTIST RED SEAL AT RIGHT BOTTOM. SIZE: 16 3/4" X 11". CONDITION: GOOD, IMPRESSION AND COLOR VERY GOOD, NEVER LAID DOWN. SEVERAL CREASES AT RIGHT AND LEFT TOP (SEE PHOTO) OTHERWISE A VERY CLEAN PRINT

Artist Bio: 
Kaoru Kawano was a very popular artist for his distinctively styled depictions of figures, especially children. He uses the wood grain patterns to lender the textures and the mood to the works.
