ORIGINAL WOODBLOCK BY UMETARO AZECHI(1902-1999) TITLE: ON VERSO HUNTER, ALSO TITLED IN JAPANESE. SIZE 14 1/4" x 19 1 4". PUBLISHED IN 1955, CARVED, PRINTED AND PUBLISHED BY THE ARTIST. EDITION 30 PRINTS OF WHICH THIS PRINT IS #11. SIGNED IN PENCIL AT THE BOTTOM 55 U. AZECHI 11/30. AZCECHI WITH ARTIST SEAL AT RIGHT. CONDITION: FAIR TO GOOD, COLOR AND IMPRESSION FAIR TO GOOD. NEVER LAID DOWN. ENTIRE BOTTOM MARGIN WATER STAIN, BLUE INK SMEARS, VARIOUS INK SMEARS AND SOILING RIGHT MARGIN. BLUE INK SMEARS ON BACK BOTTOM, SOME SOILING TOP OF THE BACK, OTHAN THAN THAT CLEAN. A NICE LOOKING PRINT, I LOVE THE SUJBECT HUNTER.
