Subject: Prince Genji enjoying an open air supper on the engawa of a house.

Date: c. 1850's

Condition: Fine colors. Virtually full size. Album backing paper uniting the three sheets with tiny paper losses at top and base. Vertical foldmarks. Slight rubbing and soils. Some tiny holes. Minor marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation.

Impression: Very fine impression with gauffrage and lacquer for the rain.Strong woodgrain visible in background.
