Subject: From a series of bijin bust portraits (not listed in Images of a Forgotten Master) a bijin clutching a door jamb as she watches searchlights raking the river bank outside her house.

Publisher: Yamazakiya Seishichi

Date: c. 1860s

Condition: Fine colors. Slightly trimmed in margins. Horizontal centrefold. Minor creases, marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation.

Impression: Fine impression with strong woodgrain visible in the background.
