Mr. Kawano pencil signed this print in the margin as well as in the print (along with his red chop seal). This is a limited edition, 41/300, titled in Japanese with an (H), as well as being titled in English 'Camellia (H)'. This large woodblock is in very good condition and bears the artists original label verso with the original red seal along the seam where it is tipped to the back of the print. This print measures 23 1/2" high by 18" wide.

Kaoru Kawano was a very popular artist for his distinctively styled depictions of figures, especially children. He uses the wood grain patterns to lender the textures and the mood to the works.
