	Notes (first edition)?:	There are a total of three versions of this scene, each one with slightly different recarving: the original 1930s Haibara Fan Shop Series, the re-edition of this series in 1988 under the title "Twelve Scenes of Famous Places" (名所十二景), and another undated variant .

Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Japanese Woodblock by Hasui ‘Lake Tawada' (1930’s) Beautiful lake scene by Hasui Kawase (1887-1957) titled "Lake Tawada" (in Japanese, "Tawada To") and originally published in the early 1930’s by Kato Publisher as one of 12 designs commissioned by The Haibara Fan Shop. This is a 1988 re-printing commissioned by Hasui’s daughter and published by Tokyo Takahashi Kobo as a Limited Second Edition of 200 prints printed off of the original blocks. Circa 1988. Narazaki #KA-09. Very rarely seen. The workmanship in both carving and printing is simply superb—very nice gradation of colors (“bokashi”) virtually throughout print with various shadings of blues, greens and soft pinks. Print is in excellent condition—no tears, no stains, no fading--no flaws noted. Great image!! Image measures 9 3/8 x 9 7/8 inches.
	Artist Bio:	川瀬 巴水。1883年（明治16年）5月18日 - 1957年（昭和32年）11月7 日）。大正・昭和期の浮世絵師、版画家。1918年 （大正7年）、風景画家として世に出る。以後、数多くの木版画を発表。 衰退した日本の浮世絵版画を復興すべく吉田博らとともに新しい浮世絵版画の叙情的世界に、自然に肉薄する近代人の視点を導入することにより、独自の世界を展開した。享年74歳。
