A beautiful contemporary Japanese woodblock print by the 20th century Kyoto artist Benji Asada(Fangu) is being offered in this listing. The artist whose dates are 1899 to 1984 was a founding member of Kyoto Sosaku Kanga Kyokai. The print is published by Uchida and has the Uchida watermark as well as the shown stamp on the matte; a paper label also identifies the artist and the title “Pheasant”. The print measures approximately 17 ½” by 11 ½”. Except for some staining and toning this print with its spectacular color remains in good condition.
