Shoda Koho Woodblock 1875-1925

This auction offers an old Japanese woodblock print by Shoda Koho. The print of a fishing boat with three people aboard on a moonlit night is done in sepia tones. There is a seal in the lower left corner of the print. The mat is signed ''Fish Boat'' in the lower left corner and Koho in the lower right corner.

The matted image of the print displayed, measures approx 6 3/4'' x 9 1/4''. The print is beautifully matted in a triple effect. The brown frame is highlighted in gold and also has a triple or stepped effect. The paper backing is present but has some tears. I have not removed the print for examination, but it appears to be in nice condition.
