This fatastic modernist woodcut print is by Kunihiro Amano and approx. 23 x 15. It depicts a really funky modernist bird... it almost looks like a Saito! It is pencil signed K. Amano in the margin as well as in the image. It is dated 1961 and is a edition 25/100. It is in very good condition with full margins. Kunihiro Amano was born in 1929. His early works were done mainly of birds like this one. He is listed in Frances Blakemore's Who's Who in Modern Japanese Prints book. |
