Guaranteed original Japanese woodblock print by the Ukiyo-e artist Kunisada. Series: Five Seasonal Festivals. Subject: Bijen. Date: 1844. Format: Hashira-e (pillar print). Color: Good with fading. Impression: Very good. Print is signed Kunisada & Toyokuni as it was produced as Kunisada was changing his name to Toyokuni to honor his teacher, Toyokuni I. Condition is good but print shows some toning to edges. Beautiful and rare early design measures 4.25" x 25.5".
