Flower sellers from the series Occupations of Showa Japan in Pictures. Original woodblock print circa 1941. Brush signed Sanzo with red Sanzo seal in lower right of image. Right margin reads Showa Shokugyo Ezukushi. Red Kyoto Hanga seal in corner. Oban size print measures 11.4 x 15.2 inches. Very good condition. Compare with same print on page 83 of the Book "Light in Darkness Women in Japanes Prints of Early Showa (1926-1945)" |
