The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Note that there may be some inaccuracies:
This is an auction of TWO, count them TWO Japanese woodblock prints by the famous Junichiro Sekino-- "My Daughter" and "My Son." If you found these prints hanging in a gallery, their prices would be at least $1500-2000 EACH. Fortunately for you, I need to do some fundraising so these prints right now are an exceptional bargain. . .
Print 1: "My Daughter" This is a fine printing of the well known and charming Dai Oban image produced by Sekino in 1957 of his daughter with her pet rabbit. The image measures 14 11/16 x 18 3/16 in size. The full print is 17 1/8 x 31 3/4. The margins are complete.
The print is in very good condition. The front surface is clean and has no fading, wear, scratches, stains and etc: The verso (back side) has some tape stains on the surface that do not penetrate through Clear Artist's signature present. The tan color you see behind the signature is NOT a stain or discoloration. It is part of the print design:
It is numbered 20 out of a series of 50 II Me 'ctat, as can be seen in this photo:
"My Daughter" was formerly in the collection of the ex-CEO of Standard Oil of Japan and was displayed with the image "My Son" (the second print offered) in his Tokyo home.
