Japanese Wood Block Print Nat.Treasure Asada

This is an original wood block print from the Japanese master and national treasure Asada. This is not a contemporary print or copy. Please read my positive comments. It has the indentations on the back from the pressure being applied to it when printing. Each color is a separate woodblock layered one on top of another. You can almost see the grain of the wood. Many hours were spent carving the wood. The paper is hand made as well. The print is stamped and signed within the image. Please see all the detailed photos. The title of the print is "The Pagoda of Ninnaji Temple Winter". Ninnaji is a big temple of Shingon Sect. The five-storied pagoda which is in the ground of the temple is a national treasure and a hundred of cherry trees planted around it are specially famous as a place of historic interest and of scenic beauty. This original woodblock print is originated by Asada and engraved and printed by Uchida wood block printer in Kyoto Japan.
