"Three Eyes"

A very rare woodcut by 'Sosaku Hanga' artist Kaoru Kawano, student of Kiyoshi Saito.

This original woodcut print is bright, unfaded and crisp with excellent colour qualities and detail in black, yellow and grey inks, The image size measuring approximately 10 x 15 ins. Within its period frame size of 19 x 23 ins. With backboard and original dust seal, under glass.

Artist Bio: 
Kaoru Kawano was a very popular artist for his distinctively styled depictions of figures, especially children. He uses the wood grain patterns to lender the textures and the mood to the works.
