Charming Japanese woodblock print of two owls done by Kaoru Kawano. Ca. 1916- 1965. It has his pencil signature and a red seal. Condition slight toning to front and more on the back.Has the remains of masking tape on the back top .On top center margin paper is tore from where it was glued to matt. It would look very nice matted and framed.. Size: 11 3/8” x 16 ¾ “.

Artist Bio: 
Kaoru Kawano was a very popular artist for his distinctively styled depictions of figures, especially children. He uses the wood grain patterns to lender the textures and the mood to the works.
