There are two slightly different versions of this scene. One has a sleeping dog at lower right, the back of a priest at lower centre, and no artist signature. This variant has been attributed to Shoda Koho.

The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Note that there may be some inaccuracies:

Koho (18th century) Japanese. This item is an original woodblock print measuring 8 3/4" x 13 3/4", with margins, 9 3/4" x 14 3/4. The condition is - no evidence of stains or matburn - never been framed - the paper has several small and faint creases (it needs to be pressed). It is attached to a thick paper backing at the top corners with a small spot of glue. The paper is somewhat thinner than the others, a fiber type paper, and when held to the light, faint horizontal and vertical lines are visible (similar to a watermark). Stamped in ink on the back of the backing paper is "Koho Early 18th".
