This is the second print from Tsu hana mitate, a set of four prints illustrated in Shibui, 'Ukiyo-e Zuten' p.78. Other impressions of this design are recorded in Kruml Catalogue, 12 #21 and as the frontispiece to Binyon and Sexton, Japanese Colour Prints. One of the rarest of Utamaro's heads.
