The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Note that there may be some inaccuracies:
Two birds on a flowering branch by Ashikaga Shizuo. Published by Uchida prior to World War II. The artist's red seal and publisher's black and white seal are both located at the lower left portion of the image. The publisher's mark and the title of the print are in the right margin. The Uchida watermark is in the lower margin. Stamped in the bottom margin is "No. 152" and "Made in Japan." Large print measuring about 17 1/8"V x 11 3/4"H (image: 15 3/4"V x 10 3/8"H). Tape stains on the back at the upper and lower margin edges. A few tiny, barely visible distressed areas in the background. Very good, clean overall condition with full margins. The bottom right corner was cut out to assist with the proper alignment of the blocks during printing. |
