This print was created by Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi (1798-1861), leading ukiyo-e artist of 19c. The print offered here belongs to the series “Ogura nazoraye hyaku-nin isshu” ( Ogura imitation of theHundred Poets). All series was created by three artists Kuniyoshi, Kunisada, and Hiroshige. This is print #49 by Kuniyoshi. The print was created c. 1845. Oban size 14 1/4" by 9 3/4". Signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshii-ga. Great impression. Original condition. No foxing, folds or creases. The print is not trimmed or setdown. Fine impression, color and registration. A little worn. Print has publisher seal Iba-ya Sensaburo on the left margin and censor Muramatsu seal.
