Note that there may be some inaccuracies: SIZE OF PRINT: 405 x 285mm (16.2 x 11.4 inches) 和田三造画「昭和職業絵尽」とは 　大野麥風（おおの　ばくふう）画「大日本魚類画集」の監修者である品川清臣の回想によると、和田三造は伝統的な職人絵尽に範をとり、近代化に伴って現れた新しい職業だけでも、消えつつある伝統的な職人の姿だけでもなく、新旧両面から世相風俗を描いた職業人物画のシリーズを描こうとしたようである。このため和田は、木版画制作の名匠を東京や京都から集めて西宮に呼び寄せ、近くの下宿屋を買い取って彫師や刷師八名とその家族を寄宿させている。 　本シリーズの刊行は、昭和１３年（１９３８）より５ヵ年計画で、毎月２点づつ全部で百種刊行する大仕事であり、各新聞社が紹介記事を掲載し、朝日新聞は版画家の吉田博の批評文まで載せている。こうして、日本全国はもとより、樺太や満州、シンガポールなどからも申し込みが殺到したが、昭和１８年（１９４３）戦局の悪化に伴い刊行は中止された。 　戦後、京都版画院から刊行された「続昭和職業絵尽」は、「昭和職業絵尽」を引き継いで当時の風俗を巧みに描いたものであるが、刊行されたのは２４図のみで当初予定の百図は完結するに至らなかった。
