Description Peaceful scene of a Japanese rural family. Father is making traditional sandals from rice stalks. Mother is sawing next to the sunken hearth. Children are playing with balls. Rows of dried persimmons are hanging from the roof and casting shadows on the shoji screen.
Note carver Kikuta, printer Nagae, Kyoto-hanga-in's copyright seal on the right margin.
